Here's the link to the press release.

Brief excerpt:
"Governor Pat McCrory announced Thursday Vertex Rail Technologies will be opening a railcar production facility in Wilmington that will bring more than 1,300 jobs to the area."

A recent interviw with Vertex's CEO:

"It is required by the American government that these tank cars be built in the United States."

First, it's no secret that Trinity builds in Mexico and National Steel Car builds in Canada.

They're advertising the first production cars will be coming off the line in 4 1/2 months. Really? Considering the shop work, employee recruitment and on-boarding, training, various permitting, etc? And that website. There are at least seven grammatical errors within the (latest) site's brief content. Companies that spend $60 million on a development project would typically take great pains to ensure PR is properly edited. This may sound trivial to some, but it matters- a lot- to potential investors and to potential customers.

These guys really have my brow furrowed.
