Webapps/app for locomotive identification

Hello railfans and railroaders,

I've been digging and haven't found any apps/webapps for locomotive identification and I've been thinking of making one (I'm in Internet by trade, railfan by fun). Before I embark, does anyone know of any existing locomotive identification apps/sites? I want to make sure I don't duplicate work.

If not, I'll start coding soon!
