I have noticed in that NREX and LLPX both have Yellow dip locomotives. Are LLPX and NREX doing something similar to what HLCX is doing, painting its units under a contract with a railroad?

Nope, but photos 22116 and 95118 look like someone went a little crazy with the yellow... :P

Well, there are two easy modeling projects, get a GE 6-axle, or a GP-38, add minimal detail bits and then spray all but the trucks (except the EMD unit, spray those), and presto, leased units!

Although I'll agree, that's a bit much on the yellow.

Terry,
The reason they are being painted CSX blue are they are being leased to CSX so Helm is paying CSX to paint them.

there rent a wrecks! I would do the cheap look my self don't need a wiled paint color for a lease engion that will just get run into the ground and then cast off to the scrap heap.
