Hi Board. I received the following e-mail yesterday asking me the origins and early purpose of the Maxon Road Facility, which I think may be the Mohawk Yard Enginehouse. To my embarrassment, it's probably the one Capital District facility I know little about, especially in earlier years. I told the gentleman who e-mailed me that I would forward his question here for help from our generous forum members. He also sent a photo of a Class K Northern/Class J "Challenger" lashup near the Maxon Road Terminal, which I will post as soon as I can get it published on the web. Unfortunately my publishing setup is on a computer network with a flaky router. Hope to have it back on Monday.
