Greetings!

This is one railroad that I would like to know something about. What book(s) would you recommend someone trying to learn about the D&H?

Thanks in advance.

There are the 3 volumes from Morning Sun Books. They do have historical information, but the major emphasis is on the photography.

Highly recommeded books...as are all MSB releases.

The best book of all of them and there are quite a few is the book by Jim
Schughnessy which the last I knew was out of print but I think it has been
or will be reprinted. Both the text and the pictures are outstanding and
while the book is dated and the text is quite old, it is well worth the time
and effort to find it.
The Morning Sun books are also good books for what they are, basically
the best of various slide collections with a limited amount of text.
It depends on what you want, if it is mostly pictures, get a Morning Sun
book but if you really want to read about the Delaware & Hudson, find
a copy of the Schughnessy book and you will be well rewarded.

Noel,

Thanks. I like both kinds of books. The history or the RR and also illustrations with Maps so I have an understanding of where this RR traveled.

Thanks for the reply.
