This was the C&NW's route from Rockford, IL to Kenosha, WI. I have a book of the same name that tells of its history. My father attempted to purchase the segment from Poplar Grove, IL to S. Beloit, but that fell through circa 1990. BTW, does anyone know if the author of the book, P.L. Behrens, is still alive?
