I recently visited the GE Erie plant and drove around the test track. I was near the backshop area and I saw two BN cascade colored engines. They seemed stripped down. What model of GE engines are these and what are their numbers?

General Electric built three prototype Dash-8s in 1984 that were painted for and leased to Burlington Northern for several years until 1991. They carried road numbers 5497-5499 and were referred to as B32-8s, though as prototypes they have a lot of differences from production Dash-8s.
