I'm working over at a grain elevator in Houston this week. Next to Cargill's property sits Texas Terminals, a shipping company. On thier tracks sit the following:

CSX 5924, 5876 ( 6 axle, don't know what they are )
BN 4052, 4043, 4026, 4007, 4023, 4031, 4032, 4002, 4003 ( all B units )
NREX 5104, 5488 ( 6 axle, don't know what these are either )

The CSX and BN Heralds are masked off with paint, and have NREX in their places. They're also in really nice shape ( externally ) and have the stacks taped over with plastic.

I assume they're getting ready to ship overseas.

The B-units might be fodder for the various "green" and "hybrid" switcher programs.

I have heard a number of cabless Dash7's are earmarked for Green Goat conversion.

Many South American roads have been purchasing used 6 motor GE's-Dash-7 and newer. They are overhauled locally with the cost being 2 used locomotives for the price of one new one.

Correct. I remember seeing in Trains magazine some former CSX C30-7's rebuilt with D-D trucks and on metre gauge.
