I'd personally love to see the payroll records to see how many family members, cousins, etc were all hired because they "know somebody".There is little or no patronage hiring at SEPTA (unlike other agencies such as the Turnpike Commission and the Parking Authority). I've seen the polite letters to elected officials trying to get someone hired on at the authority.
AFAIK, the only significant patronage at SEPTA is with professional services such as bond counsel, some kinds of consulting, and investments, and even then there are performance standards that have to be met.
