#4208 seen here in July, passing a holding WPCA-20 at JORDAN in Pennsauken:

And just this past Sunday (1/19), I caught #4204 through Pennsauken, headed for Philadelphia:

I'm still on the hunt for Geeps 4200, 4212 & 4218. Last I heard, 4212 was undergoing PTC installation. No recent reports on its whereabouts.

Not particularly recent, but I had a ride with 4212 on the AC line on 1st December last year, if that's any help. At the same time both 4204 and 4208 were on the Hoboken division ('08 helped me realise my ambition to have a run over the Moodna viaduct with an NJT geep, whereas '04 remains one of the four 4200s I haven't managed a ride with - it's a Brit thing) so they obviously move around.
Thanks for the info guys! Much appreciated!

4212 is now in revenue passenger service... Someone just posted a photo of it pulling a morning Hoboken to Montclair MSU train yesterday... He also said it will be retired probably in 2 years.

Fantastic! Fingers crossed she shows up down here along the Atlantic City Line!

Thanks for the update!

Being that it was recently fitted with PTC, it may stick around longer than 2 years.

While not a "Geep," I thought it was interesting that F40 4119 was recently equipped with PTC as well. I wonder if 4120 will get the same treatment/do they plan on using them in revenue service? Or perhaps just for work trains?

Either way it certainly seems they plan on keeping at least 1 of the 2 F40s around for awhile longer...

Correct. Lazy writing as usual from that "journalist."

Use caution. Geeps are easily frightened and can suddenly attack if provoked.

I haven't been near Long Branch in the immediate past, but there was a GP40 protect locomotive stationed there. Once in a great while you can hear a Geep horn on the NJCL south/west of Long Branch.
