I don't want to brag, (not too much,) but I worked on the West Shore in Weehawken and North Bergen in 1955-56. I picked up a New York Central employee time table that called it the River Division.
I once saw a NYO&W train making a fast move, somewhere on the West Shore, possibly its last summer.
And to get back on topic, when I worked "G" tower in Belvidere, 1960-64, I used to hear the operator at Bordentown, "BO," on the "back roads" dispatcher's line. (Also, I worked with the operator at "PU," the CNJ tower in Phillipsburg.)
