When I was in the Bronx after the Macy's Day Parade I was under the Bronx L on Broadway near the 235th street station. A Crown Vic taxi grazed one of the L's support post leaving a bit of yellow paint. The driver got out looked at the mark got back in and drove off toward Manhattan. How strong are those posts? I heard they were not so hot in the 1970s, but have they not been there for almost a hundred years or so?
