I was wondering if you guys knew how recent was the delivery at the kawasaki plant in Yonkers NY. I took a Metro North train through there as a characteristics ride, and I saw new R160s still on their flattrucks! numbers like 8843-8845, and several others

I first noticed them there quite a while ago, maybe less than a month ago. Not sure if those are the same ones there now, I never got close enough to see the numbers.

I know a while ago a deadman failed on a R142 and rolled out of the side of the building and into the one across the street, they use it as a bridge now!

...... a deadman failed on a R142 ....

Sounds like some forgot to apply the handbrake. "Deanman" would not work if there's no power or air in the lines.

I was joking about the R142, there was no such incident with a failed deadman.

However, there is a replica of a R142 used as a bridge over Wells Ave to conenct two buildings. See Here

Sorry for the implied humor. :-D
