IRT Powerhouse gets Landmark status

After many years of petitions and hoping (and against the wishes of Con ED - although there were negotiations) the Stanford White designed IRT Powerhouse located on between 11th Av & 12th Avenues and between W58th and W59th Streets has been given Landmark status (it was unanimous) by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.
