New to this forum and a topic search didn't answer my questions. In the various videos I have watched the underground tunnels have blue lights at frequent intervals about window height. Usually they seem to appear in pairs on either side of the track. What do they signify? Also in some surface stations the motorman stretches his arm out the window to a pinpad of sorts mounted on a pole. What is that function? Thanks.
