SIR Grasmire Station House

Today while taking a ride past Grasemire Station here in staten island, I noticed a bit of construction at the station... there is a temporary stairway leading down to the station platform from the street level and the original 1930s era B&O station house has been demolished.

Any idea when this had happened and why?
