Per the FMCB board meeting today, 3900 is scheduled to begin service starting this week. 3901 is supposed to follow sometime in January.

I have a bug in my code, so until I get a chance to fix it here's what you can try:
https://sites.harvard.edu/~wuensch/T/subway-map.html#trains and click the "Show a detailed table" button, then click on the header (top row) of the column "Lead Car No." and if they are active 3900/3901 should appear at the top.

After I fix the bug, once again you will be able to add "?car=XXXX" onto the URL like before so at that point these URLs should work:

Fingers crossed I should be able to make that fix this week. (My real job has kept me really busy lately!)

Also 3901 showed up in the data for a moment just now. It was approaching Kenmore on a D trip inbound.

Apparently they are running as single car trips at the moment, if the data is correct.

3900 was just testing, not in revenue service yet.

Thank you so much!!!! I'll be in Boston for just a few days at year's end, and this will make it vastly easier to see a Type 9.

3900 has been accepted for service according to NETransit. The first run is expected by tomorrow.
