Delays to come!
On Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays from 4/23 - 5/16, shuttle buses will replace service on four mid-day Stoughton trains while we test equipment for PTC.
The following outbound trains will be replaced by a bus shuttle between Canton Jct. & Stoughton:
- 909 (9:45 am from S. Station)
- 911 (1:20 pm from S. Station), which will be held for approximately 10 minutes between Hyde Park & Route 128.

The following inbound trains will be replaced by a bus shuttle:
- 910 (10:40 am from Stoughton) will be bused between Stoughton & Route 128. The bus will then continue to Dedham Corp. Ctr. for inbound train service aboard Franklin Train 712 (11:31 from Dedham Corp / due at S. Station at 11:54 am).
- 912 (2:15 pm from Stoughton) will be bused between Stoughton & Canton Jct. The bus shuttle will stop at Route 128 for drop-off only & then travel directly to South Station, without making a station stop at Back Bay, and will arrive around 3:30 pm. For inbound train service from Route 128, take Providence Train 822 (2:43 pm from Route 128).

Inbound bus shuttles will depart Stoughton at the scheduled train departure time.

I don’t know of any scheduled double drafts on the B&A.

Delays of 20 minutes on the Newburyport line this morning due to a tree down on the tracks.

Also noticed this oddity this morning. 192 took on 160's schedule, meaning it was at Salem at 8:28 and ran express from Salem. Never seen that happen before.

Usually when ever there are any kinds of trouble 192 gets canceled and 160 takes on 192s schedule. Or the dreaded 160 is running late and gets stuck behind 192 which is making all stops.

Fun times!
Providence Train 825 (5:40 pm outbound) will operate with a smaller train set which will result in less seating capacity due to a mechanical issue. Passengers may consider Train 827 (6:10 pm from South Station) and Train 829 (6:50 pm from South Station).
Then...
Providence Train 825 (5:40 pm outbound) is operating at capacity and will not be able to make station stops at Back Bay and Ruggles. Passengers may consider Train 827 (6:10 pm from South Station) and Train 829 (6:50 pm from South Station).

Think the set was four doubles and a single. Unless they can get an 8-car train down to Pawtucket tonight (still have chances with 835, 837, and 839 I'd imagine), either 806 or 808 will wind up with a short set tomorrow (I'd bet on 806, 808 normally doesn't get shafted).

Problems with Malfuction Junction (Canton) again this morning. Most NEC/STO trains very late, some up to an hour. This has resulted in some trains skipping stops due to overloading, and others making other stops to pick up the load.

Five days in a row now, 406 has been at least 10 minutes late. Today was about 20. Two days this week (including today) the train following us passed at Belmont.

Yet again, 406 was about 12 minutes late getting into North Station. I think that's seven out of the last 9 days we've been at least 10 minutes late.
