The 1050 went back to Rochester for what I presume was warranty tweaking/work.
Came back to Readville yesterday on an extra.

The 1061 went to Rochester on September 4th. Don't know if its still there.

A few posts back,Wabtec is shutting down Boise and moving the rebuild shop to GE Erie plant.
This must be the period of NO shipments untill they settle in the GE plant, anything at Boise will be finished and shipped home.
Figure on the GE plant to start up 01/01/2020.

Looks like the 1051 is heading to Middelboro tomorrow to join the 1064 & 1066
trip to MPI/Boise. It blew a piston rod sometime last week, so it bought an express
ticket west. Coming down to Middleboro tomorrow on an extra.

Nothing new out of Boise.

That's the first Keolis rebuild going out too, right?

Do we know if they're sending these three engines out to Boise or are they waiting until they have the green light to send them to Erie?

1051 has been confirmed being the next unit out to be rebuilt which is the first in-house rebuild to go out. However i'm not sure if they will be going yet until they settle. Only time will tell when they go.

1051, 1064 & 1066 have now been shipped. Apparently headed to Erie, not Boise.

1035 status at Boise unknown, but it could be the last one rebuilt there as there
are rumors that the 1057,1060,1065 & 1074 are going to be sent to Erie as well.

Is the rule of thumb that if a non-rebuilt F40 has an issue, it's then sent out for rebuild? 1036 on the 813 died today, had a traction issue I think (had trouble getting over 10-15mph). Was rescued by the 1056 on 815. Don't know if that means 1036 might be the next F40 to be sent out.

Guess the rumors of all the MBTA units that were left at Boise earlier this year being shipped to the Erie plant is true. A photo of two units shrink-wrapped as MBTA 11 & MBTA 12 in Nampa has surfaced on Facebook tonight. Don't know which units are under the tarps. Unknown if the 1035 left on its own wheels (this would make it the last full rebuild from Boise).
