We've organized a last-minute meet-up for Framingham-Worcester twitter train friends...no reason not to extend the invite to all of you...

http://dbperry.weebly.com/blog/first-ever-meet-up" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When: Thursday, June 2, 2016
5 PM to whenever

Where: Deluxe Depot Diner, about 100 paces east of the MBTA Framingham train station.

The Deluxe Depot Diner is in the historic and beautiful HH Richardson-designed former Framingham train station built in 1884-1885. They did a great job renovating it and putting it back to constructive use.

^ Haha, I was tempted to ask the same question! Also can't make it this week, but hope it's a success.

Dave, you may have the beginnings of a "Commuter Rail Riders Association" starting. Might be a good thing for rail advocacy around these parts...

Can't make your meeting, and I'm not a regular rider anymore. For the Newton stations there's issues with fare equity with the rabid-transit and express bus services. The Newton stations are a sixty year old joke that isn't funny anymore. And because they waited so many years they will have to spend millions just for ADA compliance that doesn't do anything for the majority of riders. Riders of the "inner" line have gotten little improvement and some setbacks as the focus has been on the outer stations.

I was in that place when it was a vegetarian Indian restaurant a few years ago. A great chance to see the architecture, reminded me some of Palmer - I think it was the same architect?

I guess more people like meatloaf that Ghobi Masala so hence the format change :)

Noah (the Twitter friend who originally suggested the meet-up) and I had a great conversation and then my wife and I had a nice dinner. So not much of a meet-up but not a bad evening.

More advance notice will probably draw more people out - there seemed to be a good bit of interest. And we threw this together with only 2 days of notice so I didn't have any expectations of a big crowd.

So I just made a survey:

Only 3 questions. Bang away.
