Motel on Red Line

I'm flying into BWI and taking Amtrak to Union Station.

What's a good (or even bad) motel on the (east side of) Red Line?
I won't have a car, need walking-distance close.

The Red Line is very long. Exactly where do you want to stay? If you prefer to be close to Union Station, the Phoenix Park Hotel is right across the street. Nice place, good restaurant, very convenient, walking distance to Union Station.

There's also a Red Roof Inn at Shady Grove Road. Take WMATA to Shady Grove, walk up RTE 355 north until the set of lights at Shady Grove Road, then take a left on Shady Grove Road, which will take you to the Red Roof Inn.
