Metro held off on addressing deteriorating rail ties on the Yellow and Blue lines near Braddock Road for months, despite reports from the Federal Transit Administration. Some say this is a result of a culture within Metro where workers are reluctant to report problems for fear of retaliation.

I don't know what is worse... That metro's track inspection employees are useless bums that falsify reports while sitting the break room for 8 hours pretending to work... or that even if they diligently inspected the tracks, it still wouldn't get fixed anyway.
