Metro is planning a major weekend work project on the Orange/Silver/Blue lines over the weekend of Saturday, February 4, and Sunday, February 5, 2017.

Six stations will be closed: Farragut West, McPherson Square, Federal Triangle, Smithsonian, Federal Center SW and Capitol South. In addition, the lower level platforms will be closed at Metro Center and L'Enfant Plaza

I guess it makes sense, and I would guess that the Red, Yellow and Green lines are eventually going to get the same treatment.

Is there any objective measure by which one can say that service is getting better? Fewer trash fires or fewer derailments is a pretty low bar. Are there fewer speed restrictions?
