Hi,
That is train 2705 that leaves Montauk at 7:01am and goes to Hunterspoint Avenue at 9:57am.
The equipment leaves Jamaica at 2:25am and arrives Montauk at 4:51am. This is a seasonal train only and ends in late October. Hope I helped you out.. OH by the way it is usually a 8 car consist with 2 engines on either end.

Hmmmm....I think I may have a photo of this train, it was 9 cars. But it was this winter at Mineola(also saw it recently at the group meet). Any other 9 car trains passing through Mineola anyone can think of? It didn't stop at Mineola.

Forgot a few things,
It is a Monday morning only train in the seasonal catagory and Tuesday after a Holiday Memorial day $th of July or Labor Day. Going East it is Train 5702.... In the old days it was Train 4 and returning as train 17 when I car cleaned in Richmond Hill and Montauk. It also used Bar Car #2829 also when I car cleaned in Montauk with 3 parlors and 8PP coaches for a total of 12 cars Push Pull 1 P unit (MP15ac) and 2GP38-2's!!!

In 1964, train # 7 "The Wall Street Special" was a Monday morning train from Montauk to Jamaica with 4 parlor cars plus coaches.

On Tuesday September 8, 1964 (day after Labor Day), train # 7 operated with 5 parlor cars in the consist:

NH 509 LONG POINT (lightweight 14 roomette 4 double bedroom sleeper)

The recently acquired lightweight cars used in parlor car service would eventually get LIRR numbers and names.

On Monday July 27, 1970, train # 7 operated with 2 parlor cars in the consist:

2063 PINE FALLS (lightweight 6 double bedroom lounge)
and coach cafe car 8552.

On Tuesday September 7, 1971 (day after Labor Day), train # 7 operated with 4 parlor cars in the consist:
