Along the ROW I see a lot of signs thats say "STS". They face both directions on each track. What is that sign for?

They are Speedometer Test Sections, and are 1/2 mile apart. You use them to check the accuracy of the speedometer.

Other railroads use signs you might see that say "Measured Mile." Those sections are one mile long, but the concept is the same.

On the same topic, I usually see a yellow sign with black lettering as "TP." What does that mean?

Temporary Platform. They are used when the track adjacent to the platform is out of service. For example if Mainline 3 was out between Jay and Harold and a train was scheduled to stop at Woodside, the train would use Mainline 1 and a temporary platform would be installed. It looks like a bridge it is placed on stanchions that you may have notice at the same locations as the signs. It bridges Mainline 3 train so people can board or exit a train on Mainline 1. Normaly when they are in use only the first door of the first car can be used.
