A DE or DM train was at the Smithtown station yesterday morning from before 9 until after 11AM. Does anyone know what was wrong? I heard the locomotive revving up around 9. Any info is appreciated.

That may explain what I saw going past Hicksville Divide yesterday. In the mid-morning I saw the LIRR diesel no. 166 racing E/B, then come back W/B an hour or so later pulling the DM no.418 and a string of C3 cars. Looked like a rescue mission.

The intersting part of that picture is that the C3 is lower than the MP15 cab
