Thanks Bill! I checked with my hosting company. They indicated that railroad.net needs to contact their server/hosting company. It is an issue with PhpBB as follows: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2366931 Besides this  link, my head wants to explode. OK, good enough, it's not you or I so we shall see....

This is for the PhpBB server techs that run railroad.net to figure out.... How do we report this issue??

The maximum image dimensions (width and height). The issue with this fix is it allows photo uploads of any size.

nyandw wrote:Yes, that would wreck havoc. Is there any way to get railroad.net to look into the problem?
Unsure. In the meantime I would recommend uploading to imgur and posting a link to the photo URL.

I already have my photos uploaded: http://www.trainsarefun.com/lirr/lirrcontents.htm
The problem is linking to the actual photo via creates the problem. I'm already posting photos using to get around the problem indicated above.

Who, EXACTLY, benefits from the absolutely burdensome and absurd 800 pixel limit?

Is there a mod being held hostage by Windows 95 license holders who'll die if we post an image such as:
https://c.o0bc.com/wp-content/uploads/2 ... $large.png
https://c.o0bc.com/wp-content/uploads/2 ... $large.jpg

1024 (wide) x 768 (tall) was the XGA or EVGA standard from the MID 1990s, for crying out loud.
1280 × 720 (HD)
1920 × 1080 (FHD)

USA TV went digital...and more than 1200 pixels wide in JUNE 2009.

Pictiures are proposed entry gates, Boston North Station
https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/ ... fare-gates

And a good example of how it is near-impossible to find content under 1000px let alone under 800px

It's been an ongoing problem for years, including before Greg and I owned the site. It's on our list of improvements.
