I am new to this board and have been an avid subway buff for years but the railroad fascinates me as well. Having friends in NYCT who are Train Operators, Conductors, and Bus Operators, I have an idea as to how their job scheduling works. I am curious however, about how the LIRR works their job scheduling for their crews. How many trips are most jobs, and are those trips all to one branch, or to several branches in the same day?
What particular jobs and starting terminals are higher senority picks? Also, are yard jobs high senority as well?
