So word has come around that Metra is closing it's ticket office in Bensenville and will be moving the Agent up to Glenview. http://www.mysuburbanlife.com/2016/04/0 ... 5/a43kggh/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My question is why did Amtrak make the bone headed move to pull its agent out of Glenview and replace it with a Metra agent? Especially when you consider that the Metra Agent will not sell Amtrak Tickets where as the Amtrak Agent sold Metra Tickets.

Everyone:

Amtrak more then likely is reassigning their Agent to another location elsewhere in the Chicago area. When Amtrak
makes changes like this it usually has something to do with sales volume at any given station.

With this change a QuikTrak TVM may be installed at Glenview for ticket sales.

At least Metra decided to keep the Glenview Station staffed - but this looks to be Bensenville's loss.

Contact Metra and see if their office at Glenview will continue to handle Amtrak ticket sales.
