Yesterday, as I was filming the morning rush period on the Metra BNSF Line at the Brookfield station, an inbound express train passed through the station, the leading cab car sounding its bell as usual. The steel bells on most, if not all, Metra cab cars were manufactured by EMD, and the sound that they produce greatly resembles that produced by the bells on Metra F40PH locomotives. I have a video of the train with an odd-sounding bell, and below is the link to the video. Skip to 0:40 to hear the sound of the bell. Does anyone know what kind of bell that may have been on this Metra cab car?

The bell you heard is from a former 8200 Series Cab Car

The only cab car to have that former BN or 8200 bell is 8473. Its been having it for at least a few years now, however it probably will lose it once it has been rebuilt.
