Los Angeles seems to have passed Measure R: subway to the sea and a bunch of other expansions;
Sonoma and Marin Counties probably passed their measure for "SMART";
West Sacramento funded a streetcar;
oh, and it seems like High Speed rail (1A) passed.

Not clear about the questionable BART expansion scheme in Santa Clara county.

So that's going to be a lot of new California transit construction.

now that high speed rail is coming, when will construction start? I heard they had a pretty vigerous plan of having construction starting almost ASAP.. like late 2009 if 1A passed.

Measure R continues to hang in the balance. While the provisional and absentee ballots are being counted, supporters of Measure R can only wait and see if those votes are enough to change the outcome.

Pretty sure Prop 1A passed though. They are hoping to start construction in late 2010/early 2011.
