LA Metro released a new map today, complete with all future stations on the Gold Line, Expo Line, Crenshaw/LAX Line, Purple Line, and Regional Connector. It definitely shows how LA Metro is moving forward.

Here's a few interesting things I noticed on the new map:
  1. 17th St/Santa Monica College is actually shortened to 17th St/SMC
  2. Artesia Transit Center is FINALLY renamed Harbor Gateway Transit Center, after about a year and half of its proposed name change
  3. 2nd Pl/Hope is not named "2nd St/Hope" - not sure why this is, as maps and street signs clearly say 2nd St, not 2nd Pl
  4. 2nd Pl/Hope is placed south of the Red/Purple Lines on the map, even though it's actually north of them (I guess it was easier than resigning the entire Downtown section of the map)
