I just received my Special Edition of Classic Trains. Starting on page 38 to page 48 is a well written article on this subject. In addition to railroad, Winston also powered the US Navy.

A list of Winston power plants (and Cleveland 278 Engines) with its application makes this EMD history a must-read!

Otto Kuhler designed steam locomotive, and a 1934 RKO movie "The Silver Streak" makes this EMD researcher a happy camper!!
