I took some pictures a couple of years ago of CNR F7Au #9171 at the Canadian Railway Museum at Delson/St. Constant, Quebec with a view to making a model of it.

The time has now come and I realise that I didn't get any clear roof shots from high enough to see whether it has dynamic brake vents...

The loco was built as F3A; GTW #9013, in May 1948. Any thoughts/build records about?

No..the GTW's F3's did not have dynamic brakes..very few GTW units did.

Thanks for that - I thought maybe they didn't as I haven't found many pics GTW locos with DBs...

Time to open the Highliner A-unit box :wink:
