Indeed at least one of the Buddliners, presumably M-5, is coming to CSRR in northern New Hampshire. According to well-informed forum friends. Does anyone know the route it will take in transit, or is it being shipped by highway? If it's going on its own trucks, I'd like to plan to see the move.

Why would a fully operational piece get shipped via truck?

Two questions. How in the world would they move that car in Rochelle Park? What will NYSW use during their OCS and trains (Is there never going to be another maple leaf fest train??

OCS: Borrow from CSX or NS.

Maple Fest: The CNY NRHS may still be able to charter a train and rent Finger Lakes' coaches for the weekend to have something to carry passengers with. But the NYS&W is out of the passenger train business.

Amen to that.

I'm sure CSX and NS would let NYSW borrow some of their equipment since they will probably be running the railroad by this time next year anyway.

You know, we have NYSW employees on this forum that graciously contribute insider info to help us better understand their railroad. It might not be appropriate to make such presumptuous comments if you aren't a management position at NYSW or a Class I.

When you say there are out of the passenger business, does it include the "Maple Festival?"

When you ask that question, did you actually read what was written before the "out of the passenger business" comment?

Also, it should be clearly obvious to anyone that by selling off ALL passenger related equipment, even cars that have sat as static displays or little more than junk for the last 20 or 30 years, that the railroad no longer intends to operate passenger trains. Now if they will allow groups to charter trains with equipment supplied from elsewhere, is unknown. But it will be hard for them to run their own, without any equipment.

Mods note: This thread for discussions related to sale of NYS&W equipment. Post your lease questions, rebuilding ideas, or any other non-sale related posts, in the correct threads. Thanks!!!

BTW, please use your search feature, before starting yet another thread, about the same old stuff........

All good info, but let's make sure we keep this thread to equipment sales, and not a general discussion of the status of every piece of NYSW loco. Seems every thread drifts there and we get fourteen "loco status" threads...

Equipment sales only, please.

I have been told there are plans for tourist. The SRNJ is also getting some passenger cars ready for service as well.
