What line is this on? is it activea anymore, or is it abandoned except for touristy type things? And where does the line coming into Sayre from the south come from? Harrisburg? I'm wondering because i hope to get out those ways a bit more now.

Andy, NS runs on the other side of the Lehigh from Jim Thorpe, as well as the R&N. If you have a bike a want to try and get shots of both you might want to check out the Lehigh Gorge Trail which is on the old CNJ and paralles the NS and R&N for a few miles. Further south on the same side of the river as Thorpe, in Packerton, you may find train a waiting in the old LV yards. The NS comes north from Allentown. If your in the area the Switchback resturant is pretty good and inexpensive. The line into Sayre is R&N from Packerton to Mehoopany and NS from there north.
