If you're referring to daily IM/Multilevel trains 22K/23K and 205/206, their eastern terminus is Ayer, MA. So they enter/exit the Southern Tier line at Binghamton NY using the CP to get to/from Mechanicville, NY and Pan Am Southern. The only RR operation on the ex-Erie east of Binghamton to/from NJ is NYS&W's three days per week SU-99/SU-100 manifest freight pair.
