Only from the Coke Works lead to the signal bungalow that's between the two crossovers. From there, it will fork into two tracks and run parallel to the mainline down to the Mystic River.

Revival of the old LOSA/SALO, which in reality maybe went all the way to Salem only a
few times a year!

Wonder if this will replace LA-2 or change LA-2's work to turn at Winchester?

My guess would be yes, but has there been enough work as of late to warrant this? They might end up abolishing LA-2 and folding their NH Route work in with LA-3 and LA-5. Not clean/pretty, but might not be justified to continue with LA-2.

It will slightly effect how the traffic gets there, but ultimately it will probably still be BO-1 making the Salem run.

Via Barbers? Well now it just sounds like the perfect time to swap over New England Produce to Pan Am!

No, the switch is still there. Why was it removed? Can it be reinstalled? Wouldn't it be rather helpful with the new dirt trains, increased cement service and possible produce takeover?

It was removed after a DOBO derailment. It could easily be put back in, but Yard 8 was anticipated to be removed at just about any day for GLX. With GLX now on hold and just about all activities suspended, Yard 8 is still there but there is still no maintenance being put into it. Of course it would help to repair and even expand Yard 8, but so long as GLX is looming, it ain't gonna happen. Yard 8 should absolutely be expanded, but that was already signed away.

The single track that has been put down on the construction site appears to be in active use (20 cars are on it this evening, most filled with dirt) and it doesn't look like there's going to be a second track - at least not for a while. I'm guessing that from how close the current single track is to the active work.

Yeah, there's zero sign of another track going in. Maybe they'll do a switch twice a day, instead.

Service is all over the place...Monday LA-3 came down...Tuesday...LOSA ran, while BO-1
went to Salem. LA-2 ran Sunday night, but I don't know if it came to Boston or not.
