I caught B727 this morning in Attleboro. Turns out B726 did not run last night due to no crew. Both the C&E are on vacation and the conductor today said he would be covering the train this week. They had the 6229 and 6238 and 56 cars for Middleboro and departed Attleboro shortly before 11 am 8/4

Does anyoine know what times Mass Coastal comes to Middleboro? I really want to see him in Middleboro and put it on youtube. And does anyone know the times CSX operates in Middleboro? Thanks!

CSX heads out from Framingham to Middleboro in the early evening, but don't know how long it takes them to get there or where they stop en route. Check the MassCoastal thread on the NE Railfan forum, as there's probably info there on times they run from the Cape to M'boro.

Any job out of Middleboro is nocturnal now. Before the Middleboro CR line rebuild B729 had a midmorning start to Braintree, however is now called after the last MBCR train around 11 PM. You may catch B727, the local to Attleboro, switching and building their train on Alden siding late in the afternoon, but as for MC, as stated previously, they run as needed to Middleboro.

Also of note with all CSX trains now run at night, both MC and FVRT make daytime drops and pickups alone without CSX crews assisting with switching as both had previosuly enjoyed. Not sure how much that adds to either shortlines runs?

"B727 is an 830AM job"

Interesting. Thanks for the clarification. Was this moved after MC took over South Coast runs?

It used to be:
B727 on duty M-F 0630
B729 onduty M-F 0730
B726 on duty Sunday-Thursday 1930

But as mentioned once the tie project began they moved B729 to nights.
