I happened upon this photo of a Canadian Pacific (SOO) covered hopper, presumably for sugar transport, bearing a logo for United Sugars Corporation:

Was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this car. After doing some research on United Sugars Corporation, their website lists sugar mills at the following locations:

Moorhead, Crookston and East Grand Forks, Minnesota; Sidney, Montana; and Drayton, Wahpeton and Hillsboro, North Dakota

The strange part is that none of these towns seem to be served by Canadian Pacific or former SOO trackage - all mills appear to be served by BNSF. Unless United Sugars Corporation closed a mill along CP/SOO trackage that this car was once dedicated for, why would CP put a logo on a covered hopper for a corporation NOT served by CP? Can anyone tell me the story behind this car, and what mill it was assigned to?

Furthermore, this particular series of covered hopper:

with dual gravity/pneumatic gates and a dual purpose trough/individual hatches is dedicated to granular sugar service. Is this correct?

Lastly, can anyone point me to any sugar mills along CP/SOO trackage in MN or ND? Thanks for all your help!
