The first twenty Soo SD60's (The ones mentioned previously), are going to the Indiana Railroad. The rest will probably end up going to CEFX.

It is Soo #6000-6020 that are coming off lease to CP, 21 units. The remaining units are owned by CP. 11 of the 21 units coming off lease are going to the Indiana Railroad, the correct name for the railroad. The remaining 10 units should go into the CEFX lease fleet.

Which SD60s are going to the Indiana Rail Road and which are going to the CEFX lease fleet? (Out of #s 6000-6020.)

The information I have is that all of the SOO Line SD60's are still owned by Canadian Pacific and always have been.

The 11 units in question, 6004, 6006, 6007, 6009, 6010, 6011, 6012, 6013, 6016, 6017, and 6018 have been leased to the Indiana Railroad by the CPR. The remaining 47 SD60s and 5 SD60Ms will continue in regular service on CP.

Another source says:
SOO LINE SD60’s Update: SOO SD60’s 6000-6021 are leased long term from CIT and are coming off lease in 2008. SOO SD60/SD60M’s 6022-6062 (most in SOO candy apple red) are owned by CP. The following 11 SOO LINE SD60’s have been sub-leased to the INRD (INDIANA RAILROAD) ; SOO 6004, 6006, 6007, 6009, 6010, 6011, 6012, 6013, 6016, 6017, and 6018.
I tend to believe this as that would make it a 20-year lease on the La Grange built units.

Better catch as many Soo SD60s as you can before they sell them all off! :-)
