What are the meanings of those little green, white and red lights on some CPR and CN units? i was watching the 930 last night, and CN 2414 had a blue light lit.

White - Extra, this is when a yard sends out an unscheduled freight to a different terminal because of unseasonal demand.

Green - Second Section, this is when a train is too long and they split it up into two sections, example if you see a westbound or eastbound CN or CP freight go by and notice 2 green lights on both sides of the numberboards that means a section second of the same train is following behind, mean while when the second section of that particular train passes by it will show 2 white lights meaning this train is the continuation or xtra of the first section.

Red - End Of Train, this is more used for power moves only.
