At Notch Hill BC a group of volunteers is restoring the Holy Cross Church which faces the CP mainline. The church has been photographed extensively especially in its near-collapsed condition but the building is now standing tall again. My question is whether or not there is a way to determine if there was a crossing at the Church property boundary prior to the existing crossing. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I think your best bet would be to ask some of the folks who have lived in the area for a long time. You could also try asking some nearby railway enthusiasts (just look for someone standing near the tracks holding a camera) or perhaps the Salmon Arm Model Railroad Association. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
