A question arose on another forum, but seems move appropriate here: Over the years, did the IC ever split and combine Matteson and Blue Island trains at Kensington? I believe the recent practice in periods of low-density traffic has been to run a Blue Island shuttle, with passengers transferring at Kensington, but have no idea what was done in earlier years.

I have never heard of add/drops on the IC or Metra system, Blue Island or elsewhere.
