The CMQ Millinocket train now starts out of Millinocket usually every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday departing Millinocket between 8 & 10 A.M.

Thanks for posting the videos and the information about train operations out of Millinocket. I am guessing that the Tu-Sa train running out of Millinocket is the only CMQ train operating out of Millinocket. Is that the case? Also do you know: Do they work as a turn down to Brownville Junction and back? Or do they rest at Brownville Junction before returning north? Also curious about any other trains operating in that area (symbol, days of week, times). Thanks for any help understanding this far (for me) end of the CMQ system.

I was referring to CMQ territory. Obviously NMR has all kinds of customers in the north and MMA used to service them.

By definition, the Millinocket Sub extends from NMJ to Millinocket, so AIM in North Bangor, Pine Tree LP in Hermon, are also Millinocket Sub customers.

Ahhh okay I was confused by your statement. Of course, the majority traffic is bridge traffic off MNR for sure. CMQ still services Huber's log yard in Nocket, as well as an LPG guy there. AIM has a metal yard in North Bangor and that is about the extent of online traffic up that way for now. However, once again, there are about 4 trains daily (2 CMQ, 2 MNR) during their 5 day stretch (Tu-Sa) and other stuff runs as needed. Also, this summer is going to see major improvements to track because of the TIGER grant, so it will surely be a busy place up there.

Busy indeed. A tremendous amount of work is going to be done in Northern Maine. Probably fair to describe it as the single largest rail construction project in Northern Maine in the last 100 years. I can't imagine anything bigger.

Nice video!

How long would you say those blades are? 100 feet, maybe longer? Really impressive to see them down at human eye level.
