We are late posting this review due to the recent rioting here in Cleveland.

Results for this period are:

TOTAL TRAINS = 7859

ON TIME = 518 (68%)

LATE = 241 (32%)

AVERAGE DELAY = 38"

NO GRACE PERIOD IS ALLOWED; OT IS OT AND LATE IS LATE!
Of the late trains:
58% were 29" or less late;
22% were 30" to 59" late;
13% were 1' to 2' late;
6% were more than 2' late; and
<1% had no arrival time shown.

Amtrak annulled or cancelled 464 trains of these services in this period.

Services which improved in both measured categories include the westbound Detroit and Kansas City Corridors and both directions of the Crescent.

A review of the causes for delays indicates that about 45% were for locomotive and/or equipment failure, 45% for "freight train interference", and 10% for weather-related or 3rd party interference. (If an already late Amtrak train was further delayed by the last category, the entire delay was credited to Amtrak as an OT train would not have been further delayed.)
