96% of the scheduled trains were reviewed this period, the exceptions being due to annulments / cancellations for programmed trackwork on the route of the Crescent and because of scattered operational problems on several other routes.

Services which improved in both measured categories include the eastbound Capitol Limited, Boston section of the Lake Shore Limited, and BUF Corridor; and both directions of the Pennsylvanian and DET Corridor.

Of the 56 trains which were more than 2' 00" late: the Crescent accounted for 25, the DET Corridor for 6, the Cardinal for 4, and the Lake Shore Limited and Capitol Limited for 3 each.

Of the total delay minutes in this period: the Crescent accounted for 23%, the STL Corridor for 18%, and the BUF and DET Corridors for 16% each.

A possibly unintended benefit of cancelling / annulling certain trains is the fact that most of them were among the lowest performing services, thereby improving the overall performance results which for the second consecutive period exceeded 50% on-time.

Hopefully, we will continue to see improvement!.
