I was wondering if there have been any changes to this list over the past year. Is 161.0700 still in use since I heard that they may be getting rid of it due to interference with CSX?

I came across this post on a google search for interference on 161.28, but I had to comment on the erronious info here on some of the frequencies. ALL train radios for ALL cars, cabs, and engines will by 01-01-2013 have the channel 4 position set for 160.770 as well as narrow banded, and I should know, I made that decision. 95% of the Bombarier cars are done, 60-70% of M3 and M7 are done. The M2 and 4 are a bit behind, but will also be done by 01-01-2013.The reason is simple, MNRR is NOT licensed for 161.07. That is a throwback from the old days when Penn Central and Amtrak owned these lines. (I was really disappointed when we lost those channels too) We were asked nicely some years back, and so far there has been no official complaints. All personnnel have been notified to NOT use the old channel 4, and so far things have been good. The mobile and portable frequency listings do not follow the train plan, they have their own plan, for each yard location, since there are now some repeaters in the yards. There are about a dozen new channels that are being put in place, but that information is not for public consumption as of yet.

Thanks for the clarification radioman. That's interesting that some of the frequencies relate back to the days when Penn Central and Amtrak owned the lines.
