Alco S4 #4 is for sale.

1000 hp.
It has friction bearing trucks with 731 series traction motors.
Unit needs batteries and has an issue with the turbo overheating.

price is $65,000 or best offer.

Does not look like its being parted out; if it is then there more to this story than meets the eye. Moving it over rail is next to impossible and trucking it very expensive so parting it out may be the best course of action. As I recall, there was a 2nd Alco switcher there. What is happening with that one?

SVTX S4 #4 - ex B&O 9084

GE 80-tonner ex SVTX #1 owned by Steam Associates was also scrapped
