Nothing. I asked a question on the roll call topic. I am still working on it. You can delete them if you want. This one too.

Edmund,

Open up an account with a free website hosting company, such as Geocities, Angelfire, etc... Save your avatar to that location, copy/paste the url to the avatar to the forum, and your done.

TxBrit I can't help you on the S-2 reverse current relay. Have you tried NRE?

Oh and thanks for the info on avatars.

What happened to RS11 #1195?

Do you still have it?

Thanks,

Chris

RS-11 #1195, one of my favorites. C-420 (#976) is currently in the Alpena, MI shops with heavy fire damage.

I'm not much of a poster - but I am a periodic looker. As an ALCO operator I find the forum interesting.

Lake State -
Can you give us more information regarding the 976 and its mishap?

Was the fire caused by electrical or oil?

Is the locomotive being repaired?

Thank you

Here it is Alcoman,

I'm pretty sure this fire was electrical, as there are many electrical components located at the spot of the fire. As you can see, about half of the long hood has been charred (the other side as well), but I also know that LSRC is fixing it at their Alpena, MI shops.

Sincerely,

Mike

WOW! Thanks Mike. Looks pretty bad. Its a shame since that was the most recent unit painted.
I am glad that it will be repaired.
